Tokyo Ghoul: Jail is an adventure RPG video game for the PS Vita. It features a new protagonist designed by the original manga creator, Sui Ishida. The game was developed by Bandai Namco Games. It was released on October 1, 2015.

The video game provides examples of:

  • The Alcatraz: Cochlea, the prison in the 23rd Ward.
  • Big Bad: Jail, the mysterious Ghoul sought by Rio and Kaneki. It turns out Jail is Rio, who doesn’t remember. As such, the real Big Bad is Shiki Kijima, the investigator who killed Rio’s brother and provoked Rio into becoming Jail.
  • Clear My Name: Rio was falsely accused of Jail's crimes, and seeks the Ghoul responsible.
  • Great Escape: Aogiri's attack on the prison frees Rio, and allows him to escape.
  • Nintendo Hard: Early reviews of the game all report it being incredibly difficult.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: At the end, Rio discovers that he actually was Jail all along.
