Spawn: Armageddon is a 2003 Hack and Slash video game based on Spawn. It featured the voice talent of Kevin Michael Richardson. It was inspired by the first ninety nine issues of the comic.
The game provides the following tropes:
- Bittersweet Ending: Spawn defeats the Metatron and destroys the angels' space station. but is once again denied from reuniting with Wanda when Malebolgia reneges on his promise to return Spawn's soul; he only promised to do so if Spawn prevented the space station from firing again, but it overloaded in the process of blowing up and did fire. Spawn's mission wasn't completely pointless though, since he did save the world.
- Bloodier and Gorier: It is the most violent of all the Spawn video games.
- Extremely Short Timespan: The game takes place in one day.
- Final Boss: The Metatron.
- Forced Tutorial: The game lets you read text to learn the game.
- Prepare to Die: Violator says this during his first encounter with Spawn.
- Say My Name: Spawn yells Malebolgia and Wanda's name in the intro.
- Starter Villain: Violator is the first boss you encounter in the game.
