Sapper - Defuse the Bomb Simulator is a career simulator developed by Live Motion Games and published by Gaming Factory. It was first released to Early Access on March 11, 2021.

In the game the player takes the role of a sapper who is hired by the local police department to defuse and deactivate bombs across a few major areas. The player must search for anything that may be a bomb, access it, and then ultimately disarming the bomb.

Sapper - Defuse the Bomb Simulator provides examples of the following tropes:

  • Character Customization: When you begin the game you can create your character to give them certain skills and abilities. By the nature of this game, you don't customize their appearance because you never see that charcter on screen.
  • Hacking Minigame: The game includes a hacking minigame and a decryption minigame because doing so is often required to gain access to areas where the bomb might be.
  • Incredibly Obvious Bomb: The bombs in the game are sometimes quite obvious once you find them. They have a countdown timer on them and several wires
  • Time Bomb: Once a bomb it found it must be disarmed before the countdown reaches zero.
  • Wire Dilemma: Much like real bomb disposal, the main goal to deactivate a bomb is to cut the right wires in the right order.
