A 2000 Platform Game based on Sabrina: The Animated Series for the Game Boy Color developed by Wayforward Technologies.

In an effort to boost her magic show, Sabrina conjures up a spell that would make the crowd "wild" for her. However, The spell turns all of the audience participants into wild animals. Sabrina and Salem have to round up the animals and zap her audience members back to normal before they destroy the school!

In this game, you take control of Sabrina as she platforms her way through levels in her search for the animal audience members. She has to find each animal in the stage and "zap" them back to normal (Get it?). Players can accomplish this by disabling the animals first by jumping on them, and then using her magical spell. Sabrina's magic starts off fairly weak, but can be upgraded by collecting stars littered through the stages. Along the way players will encounter Salem, who will help out by crawling through narrow gaps Sabrina can't get through and open pathways for her that will allow her to get to new locations in the level, and more animals to zap. The game has that staple Wayforward magic, with very expressive sprites, colors and fluid sprite animation.

The game received a sequel, Sabrina The Animated Series: Spooked! in 2001.


This game has examples of:

  • Animals Hate Him: Gangs of dangerous animals stand in our heroine's way. It doesn't help that they weren't actually that way to begin with. You have to change them back one-by-one with Sabrina's magic.
  • Bat Out of Hell: Numerous in the fourth stage, and placed in just the right spots to annoy you.
  • Boss Battle: Sabrina's closest friends serve as major bosses for each of the levels. You have to jump on them a few times before they become vulnerable.
    • Stage 1: Harvey, who's been turned into an Alligator.
    • Stage 2: Chloe, who's become a Giant squid.
    • Stage 3: Gem, who's been turned into a giant bird.
    • Stage 4: Slugloaf, who's become a giant gorilla.
  • Circling Birdies: The animals get this when stunned, where in this state Sabrina can use her magic to zap them back. Sabrina (and Salem) also get this when losing a life.
  • Collision Damage: Running into the animals without stunning them first hurts you and makes you lose a heart.
  • Cute Witch: Sabrina herself. Naturally.
  • Death Is a Slap on the Wrist: Dying only turns you back to the start of the level with the enemies you already zapped. A Game Over resets all of your progress, but you do have unlimited continues.
  • Double Jump: The Jump spell, when found, lets Sabrina jump up to four times in the air.
  • Escaped Animal Rampage: Courtesy of our heroine. The mission of the game is to turn Sabrina's transformed classmates back to their normal selves.
  • Excuse Plot: Sabrina botches a magical spell at the school variety show that turned her classmates into animals, and now she has to reverse it.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: The animals won't make your quest easy. Some of them actively attack Sabrina.
  • Forced Transformation: The plot of the game. All of Sabrina's friends and schoolmates were transformed into wild animals by accident by her spell. They serves as this games' enemies.
  • Goomba Stomp: The player has to do this to make the animals vulnerable to Sabrina's magical zap.
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: A magical spell to make the audience "wild" turns them into literal wild animals!
  • Gotta Catch 'Em All: You have to find and zap every single animal within a stage in order to complete the level.
  • Hearts Are Health: You have a Life Meter with three of them, and Heart power ups restore it to full.
  • Hilarity in Zoos: The fourth and final stage takes Sabrina to the Zoo.
  • Hyperactive Sprite: A Wayforward staple. Even when idle, Sabrina cannot stand still.
  • Kung Fu-Proof Mook: Crabs snap their claws above their heads, preventing Sabrina from jumping on them. You have to time your jump properly without taking damage.
  • Last Chance Hit Point: Even if your life meter is empty, you'll be fine, but don't take another hit.
  • Level Goal: Sabrina has to find and zap every single animal in a level, which opens the exit door to leave.
  • Literal Genie: Unfortunately for Sabrina, she meant the spell to make the crowd "wild" as in more enthusiastic for her magic act, but turned her classmates into wild animals instead.
  • The Mall: The third stage is the Greendale Mall, complete with multiple floors and escalators. Raccoons like to hide in pots and Chameleons climb the walls.
  • Palmtree Panic: The second round takes place at a beachfront setting. Jumping fish, pelicans and crabs await Sabrina.
  • Password Save: You have four blocks of characters for a password. Each of them based on characters from the cartoon.
  • Platform Game: Standard Hop and Bop, with a little zapping in the mix.
  • Power-Up: Salem can be found in present boxes within the levels. Once unlocked, you can control him and use him to unlock pathways and find items for Sabrina. Stars are used to Power Up Sabrina's magic. Which at full power can instantly zap the the kids back to normal without her needing to disable them with the Goomba Stomp. Hearts restore your Life Meter to full. There are also different magic spells to be found that grant Sabrina special abilities, like a Double Jump, a Ground Pound, and an ability that lets her phase through walls.
  • School Setting Simulation: The first level takes place in Sabrina's school.
  • Spectacular Spinning: Lose your last life and Sabrina's death animation has her doing cartwheels in place.
  • Super Drowning Skills: Water kills you instantly. Stay away from it.
  • Video-Game Lives: You start with five. You can find more and you do get infinite continues, however.
