Rad Rodgers is a Side-scrolling Action Platform Game by Slipgate Ironworks.
Ricardo Rodriguez, aka "Rad Rodgers", is a young kid who would rather play video games on his favourite console (which he named "Dusty") than waste his time on things like (ugh) school. One night, after being ordered to go to bed by his mom on pain of having Dusty confiscated, Rad turns him off and curls up into bed for school the next day.
Later, he's woken up by something strange. His TV screen has a weird glitch on it. He tries to turn the TV off, and then he tries turning Dusty off (a job reserved for his ex), but the screen continues to glitch. Before he knows it, he gets sucked into the screen. When he comes to, he sees he's in a video game world, and Dusty is now alive, and has hands. Needing to get out, the two team up, lock and load, and do what any video game protagonists do: blow up everything that comes after them.
The game was funded on Kickstarter on October 6th, 2016. It was released on November 11th, 2016 as "Rad Rodgers: World One".
