REAVER is a fast-paced Stylish Action First-Person Shooter. Its mechanics are centered around weapons special abilities and cooldowns.

It is currently in early access.


REAVER provides examples of:

  • Advanced Movement Technique: There are many ways to get around faster and further.
    • Jumping off a wall during Ground Pound will give player impressive amount of horizontal momentum.
    • Sliding right after Ground Pound is finished will ensure a very fast slide.
  • Bottomless Magazines: All the weapons have either unlimited or automatically recharging ammo.
  • Bottomless Pits: Falling into endless void teleports the player back to firm ground, albeit with the cost of health.
  • Destructible Projectiles: Primordial devourer's secondary fire can be shot with a revolver to make its explosion bigger.
  • Double Jump:Player can jump again mid-air.
  • Ground Pound: Ground Pound is one of the abilities in player's moveset, allowing quick descent, crushing smaller enemies in the process.
  • Guns Akimbo: Rage mode of crimson fury makes the player to pull out a second shotgun for a brief period of time. Secondary fire of warmonger also
  • Grappling-Hook Pistol: The hound has a grappling hook underneath it that can be used to grapple towards the surfaces and enemies. It can also be used to grapple smaller enemies towards the player.
  • Gravity Is Purple: Black holes are depicted to have purple tint.
  • Kill Enemies to Open: Upon entering a room, you are often locked in until all the enemies have been killed.
  • Lava Pit: A few levels include small pits of damaging lava.
  • Limit Break:
    • To use revolvers' special abilities, mana meter must be full. It recharges over time but also fills by picking up health pickups.
    • Shotguns have a rage meter that fills up quickly when killing enemies. It also slowly increases over time.
  • Overheating: Continuing to fire warmonger's and primordial devourer's primary fire heats up the gun, slowing down its fire rate.
  • Pinball Projectile: Many revolver attacks, blue shotgun and primordial devourer's primary fire ricochets off walls or enemies.
  • Quick Melee: Player's punch attack can be used while firing weapons.
  • Recoil Boost: Shotguns have significant amount of recoil which is especially apparent in crimson fury's rage mode, capable to send the player high up in the air. Warmonger also gains Recoil Boost upon using dual wield ability. Secondary abilities of revolvers also have a recoil.
  • Rocket Jump: With a cost of small health, it is possible to use explosive weaponry to gain vertical boost.
  • Secondary Fire: Every weapon has at least two modes of fire. Revolvers have two normal secondary fires, depending on whether primary fire is pressed or secondary fire is let go. In addition, punching during revolver's charge when the mana meter is full replaces those attacks with new ones, meaning that every revolver has five modes of fire.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: Shotguns in this game have a high spread.
  • Shoryuken: It is possible to do a jumping uppercut from slide.
  • Spread Shot:
    • Howritzer's secondary fire shoots 11 bolts in spreadshot style.
    • Both Big Iron and Eren's Echo Iron have attacks that shoot out multiple projectiles projectiles simultaneously.
  • Spikes of Doom: In the intro, there is a location that includes spikes that damage the player upon contact.
  • Springs, Springs Everywhere: Levels feature jump pads that launch the player high in the air.
  • Throwing Your Gun at the Enemy: Used as a game mechanic. While dual-wielding warmonger, the additional weapon can be thrown away, preferably towards the enemies, resulting an explosion.
  • Unrealistic Black Hole: Crimson fury's secondary attack shoots out a small black hole, sucking in smaller enemies.
  • Vent Physics: Some areas have fans that push the player up in the air.
  • Video Game Dashing: Dashing can be used for a quick horizontal boost. It also allows to go through enemies.
  • Video Game Sliding: Player can slide along the ground for speed boost. Certain techniques make the player slide very fast.
  • Wall Jump: Player can jump on walls infinitely.
  • Wingding Eyes: Kate's eyes are X-shaped and in different size.
