It's widely known among Devil followers. Once upon a time, there was a girl possessed by the Demon. Although the Demon was expelled from her body after that, its words left. "There have to be 9 people offering to the Devil every year on the full moon night. If anyone survives 3 days after being offered to the Devil, the Devil will be back to this world. The Devil will grant this world happiness and freedom."

Oyadori No Ko is an RPG Maker horror game by Kona5 and is part of The 'Verse with Sukutte, Akemi-Tan, and Pilgrim (RPG Maker).

Long ago, The Devil possessed a girl. Although the Devil was expelled afterwards, it told its human followers how to free it — every year, they must sacrifice nine people to the Devil, sending them to Hell. If someone survives Hell for three days, then the Devil will be free.

The protagonist, who you name — default name Hottie — is a dapper man who wakes up in a sealed room in Hell, with no memory of how he got there. After finding his way out, he meets three other people who are also trapped. They soon discover that they were trapped there by a cult of devil worshippers as offerings to their lord. Hottie must now solve puzzles and navigate the prison to escape from the clutches of the Devil.

Can be downloaded, along with Kona’s other games, here.

This game contains examples of:

  • Big Bad: The Devil is the one who told his worshippers to send nine people to Hell as offerings every year, resulting in the protagonist Hottie and the eight others being trapped inside and having to escape. It turns out to be Domoto Sadae, real name Emokinia, who has been manipulating Hottie into freeing her.
  • Difficulty Levels: Oddly, the Final Boss has one. If you lose and then go back, you are given the option to continue at the normal difficulty level or make the battle easier — you do not have to run as many laps around the area, and the boss does not teleport as much.
  • Evil Is Not a Toy: The main characters are trapped inside Hell as an offering to the Devil, as it is said that whoever survives Hell for three days will release the Devil on the world. The Devil worshippers have been doing this for a long time, and were told by the Devil that he will bring about happiness and freedom once released from his prison. Almost immediately after being freed, Emokinia stabs one of the followers to death for standing too close, then blows up the rest for screaming too loud, and throws the last two into a wall for being in the way.
  • Five-Second Foreshadowing: In the scene where Hottie returns to Earth, the bodies of the other eight sacrifices to The Devil are there. An attentive player might notice that Sadae, who Hottie just escaped with, is not among them... and a few lines later, the Devil appears — it’s Sadae, who tricked Hottie into freeing her.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You can name the protagonist, though his default name is Hottie.
  • Interface Screw: Emokinia, the Final Boss, invades the protagonist's mind and scrambles the controls, switching around the arrow buttons on the keyboard.
  • Nightmare Face: The monsters have one which is shown on the title screen.
  • Violation of Common Sense: At one point, you have to hide from two chasers. You might think that going into the hidden room you uncovered before might be the best thing to do, but if you do so, the monsters will wait for you to leave and catch you anyway. Instead, what you need to do is hide behind a desk that the monsters should, by all means, be able to see, but somehow they don't.
  • Sequel Hook: Even though Hottie and Daizaemon managed to escape, Emokinia is still out there and has sworn to recover her powers and destroy humanity.
