Omega Layers is an Idle Game in HTML 5 by VeproGames released in 2020. It has you produce Alpha at first, which can be spent on Alpha generators, with higher-level ones producing generators that are a level below them. After reaching 1e24 Alpha, you can reset and gain Beta to increase Alpha production. Then you move on to the Gamma layer which resets Beta, then the Delta layer, etc. However, the game introduces new features like automators, layer volatility, and challenges as you progress through the layers to add variety.

This game provides examples of:

  • Achievement System: There are 50 achievements to earn, though all of them can be unlocked by just progressing through the game normally.
  • A.I.-Generated Economy: After reaching the Beta layer, you can buy automators that max all generators, prestige, and once its unlocked, buy Aleph upgrades.
  • Challenge Run: The Gamma layer introduces challenges, in which you have to earn a specific number of previous layer's resources with a penalty to production.
  • Export Save: The 7KB+ save file can be copied by clicking a button or downloaded as .txt and paste from clipboard.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: Parodied in one news message, when the game tells you not to press the X in the top-right corner, as it's a game breaking bug. It's not in the game itself, but just look at the browser window.
  • Tech Tree: The Epsilon layer introduces an upgrade tree in which you can only pick one path and it's ignored by automators.
