Ninjin: Clash of Carrots is a unique take on the Beat 'em Up genre. It's a peaceful day in an unnamed world when suddenly, the village's carrots are stolen in a raid! You can play as either Ninjin, a bunny presumably living there, or Akai, an equally capable fox. (Or both, thanks to Coop Multiplayer.)

It was adapted into a short-lived animated series in 2019.

Ninjin contains examples of:

  • Action Bomb: Baku are this as they can explode when hit by a weapon, exploding all allies near them.
  • Berserk Button: for Saru, they get hit, their mask breaks off, sending them into a blind rage.
  • Coop Multiplayer: As simple as pressing a button with the second controller on the map, or when starting the game.
  • Cut Scene: Every time you meet a new enemy. It's played for laughs a couple times, such as when the new enemy is furious that some unseen 'they' didn't 'do the thing' before telling them to just do it already.
  • Demonic Possession: Courtesy of the summoner, taking over the shogun. It's about as bad as it can be with the game's age rating.
  • Die, Chair, Die!: In the city area, pots are strewn about. Busting them up will keep your combo meter topped off, and maybe even preserve it to the next wave if you have the time charm.
  • Set a Mook to Kill a Mook: At one point while storming the castle holding the village's carrots, an enemy that disables your projectiles becomes invincible, and they're behind a barrier wall that stops you from getting close. You can only move on when you do enough dash attacks on the nearby exploding enemies to get through that armor. Also absolutely counts as a Puzzle Boss.
  • We Cannot Go On Without You: In multiplayer, one character's health running out will cause them both to retreat.
