Once upon the time, there was an Oni named Purin ("Pudding" in the English translation), feared even in the demon realm for her unmatched power. However, it was an empty, loveless life, so she abandoned it to live amongst the humans under the name "You-ki". Even when humans rejected her and threw stones at her, she did not regret this decision. Then one day, due to humans being cruel to each other and increasing the world's malice, the gates of hell opened wide enough for a full demonic invasion. With humanity reduced to a single island, You-ki has decided to fight for its survival, hoping that her old bloodlust does not resurface and end up destroying it all instead.

Monster Girls You-ki Chan! is a 2D platform action game inspired primarily by the Ghosts 'n Goblins series, with some unmistakable Castlevania (1986) references later on. The gameplay has a strong retro feel that provides a solid but fair challenge as players guide Youki-Chan across 8 stages in her battle to protect the human world against the demon army. The game was developed and initially published by Nanakusadou, with Shady Corner handling international publishing. Although the original release was an H-Game, with various nude monsters, sexual acts, and multiple erotic depictions of being Swallowed Whole, a censored version of the game titled Monster Surprised You-ki Chan! is also available, removing the most explicit content and replacing what remains with Barbie Doll Anatomy.

Tropes:

  • Anachronism Stew: The ship stage - the ship is a flying version of a 17-th century "ship of the line" with World War 2 era weaponry and machinery inside.
  • Ass Kicks You: One of the Giant Gargoyle Girl's attacks involves trying to squash Youki with her bottom.
  • Asteroids Monster: When you defeat the giant Gargoyle Girl for the first time she releases two lesser ones.
    • Giant Slime Girl enemies later on will split into multiples of smaller ones, if not killed by an explosive.
  • Attack Reflector: Youki's numerous weapons include a Gohei with an ability to either destroy projectiles or reflect them back at the nearest enemy.
  • Background Boss:
    • Giant Harpy Girl occasionally retreats to the background to swoop towards Youki and grab her.
    • The Final Boss's final form is fought behind the main scenery and takes up so much space she doesn't fit on the screen.
  • Brown Note: When the regular Harpy Girl sings her notes become tangible and harm Youki.
  • Butt-Monkey: The Green Girlsnote  suffer the most abuse of all, especially abuse coming from other monster girls. They're incredibly prone to Amusing Injuries, the Gargoyle Girls like to hump them to stone and the giant ones swallow them whole.
  • Ceiling Cling: Youki's incredible dexterity allows her to cling to and traverse any solid surface and even still attack in the process.
  • Degraded Boss: After you defeat the Giant Slime Girl you'll bump into lesser versions of her in the latter levels. At the end of the same level, you'll battle against a giant Gargoyle, who also gets degraded into a normal enemy in the later levels.
  • Eternal Engine:
    • The inside of the human-made ship is littered with various pistons and conveyor belts obviously with the sole purpose of getting in Youki's way or kill her.
    • The second part of the final stage takes it up to eleven with heaps of gears filling up the entire background and some cogs even serving as moving platforms.
  • Eye Beam: One of the Gargoyle Girl's attack involves a volley of beams shot from her eyes.
  • Girly Run: Despite her tomboyish nature Youki runs in this fashion.
  • Groin Attack: If you make Giant Gargoyle Girl fall on her butt with her legs spread wide open most of your horizontal attacks will inevitably connect with her crotch.
  • Humans Are Bastards: Their constant cruelty and malice caused the entire invasion of demons to happen in the first place.
  • Impossibly-Low Neckline: Youki's top basically barely hangs on her chest. If it were just a bit smaller, it would slip off without her moving an inch.
  • Interface Screw: Final parts of the ship stage and every time you blow off a part of its boss, it makes the view rotate 360 degrees once. It is only a visual effect and does not affect gravity, so for a while you'll have to deal with navigating Youki walking upside down.
  • Load-Bearing Boss: After destroying the huge machine inside of the airship in Stage 4, the entire ship begins to fall and it's a dash to get out.
  • Magnet Hands: Youki has no trouble firing a bow or using any sort of weaponry while clinging to a wall or hanging from a ceiling. Just like a monkey, her feet are as dexterous as her hands.
  • Meaningful Rename: Youki used to go by the name Purin before defecting to human side. Nearly all other demons call her out on this.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: They are cute girls who try to molest you.
  • Rake Take: In the stage where Youki gets shrunk there are occasional rakes littered on the floor. Especially the leafy Green Girls have a habit of running straight into them and getting smacked right in their faces.
  • Version-Exclusive Content: 18+ version contains an exclusive "Stage Ex", which is a Stealth-Based Mission.
  • Videogame Cruelty Potential: You can fight enemies regular way or you can grab them and snap their necks, knee them in their faces or enact some other disproportionately violent acts upon them. Also if you manage to incapacitate a boss but not kill them, you can finish them off with some kind of fatality. For instance you can crush the Giant Slime Girl while she's down or catch the Giant Harpy with a lasso and impale her on a broken torii pylon.
