Monster Girl Island is a a 3D Adventure Game created by Redamz. The game takes inspiration from Visual Novels, and has Dating Sim elements. While a free "Prologue" version was publicly released on Steam in 2019, with later builds made available on Patreon, the game has been abandoned as of June 2023.
The player wakes up on a beach by a mysterious girl, who is quickly attacked by a dragon girl. The player wakes up once again, this time in a bedroom. They are greeted by two monster girls, an Elf and a Nekomata. During the game, more girls move into the village.
Monster Girl Island provides examples of:
- Acceptable Breaks from Reality: The player's phone is waterproof and never runs out of battery. Given how Ophelia is apparently waterproof, this may be justified.
- Double Standard Rape: Female on Male: The first intimate moment with Mako has her decide that humans are rare enough to be "worthy" of being her mate, and then declares that the protagonist's consent doesn't matter as she takes the lead, going as far as to choke him if he has second thoughts and resists. Later, after the protagonist has properly met with Eydis, she will apologize for her earlier behavior; however, she is not punished for it.
- Featureless Protagonist: The player barely gets to see their own character due to the First-Person Ghost nature of the game. In the few moments where they can, it's just a nude male human model with a paper bag for a head.
- Opening the Sandbox: Reaching the Interlude (the current endpoint of all available content) permits the protagonist to explore and fraternize as much as they want.
- Robot Girl: Ophelia, the mysterious girl that awakens the player in the first scene, is an "obsidian guardian" created by humanity as protection against monsters.
- Shark Man: One of the main characters is Mako, a shark mermaid-girl that serves as the personal bodyguard to Queen Eydís Níðhöggr, the dragon girl that attacked the protagonist.
- Slime Girl: Eris is comprised entirely of slime, and leaves several puddles of purple slime to enact her mischief in prior chapters.
- Suddenly Voiced: The only part of the game with voice acting is the sex scene with the Mystery Girl.
- Token Human:
- The male protagonist is the only human on the island, though most of the various monster girls are humanoid. In fact, despite the island existing in human territory, Mako believed they were a myth.
- The Mystery Girl who appears in the protagonist's dreams is the only other human in the game so far, but even the character database is uncertain if she is truly human.
