Mega Man: The Final Chapter provides examples of:

  • Airborne Mook: The Propeller Cannons and Tellies.
  • An Ice Person: Hail Man, who uses a combination of stomping attacks and calling down storms of hail, and his special weapon, the Hail Storm. The Hail Storm allows Mega Man to call down eight large chunks of ice that will smash down into any unforunate enemies that it comes into contact with.
  • Battle Boomerang: The Blitz Ball is a medium-ranged soccer ball which also acts as a boomerang.
  • Bee-Bee Gun:
    • The Bee Shield. It creates a shield of four rotating bees which will absorb shots and damage nearby enemies the shield comes into contact with. The shield can also be fired.
    • Sting Man has a similar shield. Although, this one consists of six bees, and when it's released, creates six slow-moving homing bees.
  • Boss Rush: Present and accounted for, following series tradition.
  • Emergency Energy Tank: As with other Mega Man titles, it refills his life energy to max. These can be found in the stages.
  • Lava Pit: Lava flows and pits are present in Flare Man's stage.
  • Lightning Gun: The Wire Spark fires a small spark directly forward in a sinusoidal pattern.
  • Making a Splash: The Gel Bubbles are a water type special weapon which fires three puddles of gel upwards.
  • No Sidepaths, No Exploration, No Freedom: All of the stages are straightforward with no alternate paths or hidden items.
  • Pinball Projectile: The Disk Blades act this way, bouncing off of walls and other obstructions until they shatter or hit a target.
  • Playing with Fire: Flare Man's attacks involve him using fireballs. Mega Man can use the Flare Blast to fire three fireballs an upward arcing pattern, which persist for a short while before dissapating.
  • Shock and Awe: Wire Man battles by firing large balls of electricity. Mega Man can also do the same by using his special weapon, the Wire Spark.
  • Spike Shooter: The Thorn Shot. It allows Mega Man to fire several volleys of three spread thorns at a time.
  • Spread Shot:
    • Upon firing the Flare Blast, three fireballs are thrown into the air in an arcing pattern. These will persist for a short while before extinguishing.
    • Upon firing the Gel Bubbles, three globs of gel are ejected directly in front of Mega Man into the air.
    • Upon firing the Thorn Shot, a spread of three thorns is fired directly forwards.
