Mad Age & This Guy is a top-down Puzzle Video Game by Atomic Wolf.

In a world of Steampunk power, new technologies and advancements are being made, and humanity is living in a new golden age of progress.

Sadly, with progress, there also comes those who seek to use it for evil. And that's just what's happened. A mysterious villain has stolen plans for new modern machines from the Academy of Science, no doubt intent on using them for some nefarious purpose.

Luckily, someone has sent this guy to retrieve the stolen plans and stop this mysterious criminal. To do so, he must bomb his way through three worlds full of robot minions and deadly traps.

The game was released on October 24th, 2017. It's available on Steam for PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Mad Age & This Guy contains examples of:

  • Black Bead Eyes: The Player Character and his bird have these.
  • Cartoon Bomb: The bombs This Guy uses are little black balls with fuses.
  • Crate Expectations: There are LOADS of crates in the game. You can push them.
  • Cyber Cyclops: One of the enemy types has a single eye that shows up when it's pursuing you.
  • Exploding Barrel: Well, exploding oil drum might be more accurate, but if a bomb goes off next to them, they will start swelling and then explode. Their blast radius is much bigger than this guy's bombs.
  • Mecha-Mook: The enemies in the game are robots.
  • One-Hit-Point Wonder: One touch from an enemy or trap can kill this guy, but the same goes for the enemies.
  • Three-Quarters View: The perspective of the game is from this view above the action.
  • Tin-Can Robot: Two out of three enemy types have bodies that look like boilers. They have either a smokestack or a light bulb on their top. The other type look like Roombas.
