Jingi Storm: The Arcade is a 3D fighting game developed and released by Atrativa for arcades (using the Dreamcast-based Sega NAOMI GD-ROM hardware) exclusively in Japan on September 20, 2006. While it is fairly standard in its play setup in being like other 3D fighting games such as Tekken and Virtua Fighter, it has an eroge twist (though, it is not particularly graphic) to the game. Each of the default playable characters, who are all male, has a woman companion associated with him and if that fighter loses, the associated female is shown in some sort of compromising situation that will be sexy and/or, particularly in the case of younger females, cute. The exceptions to this are the boss characters: the sub-bosses, who are all female, if defeated will be depicted in defeat scenes, while the bosses, Jiao, and final opponent, Xell, have no accompanying female characters.

This Video Game contains examples of:

  • Action Dad: Paolo Couse has two daughters and hasn't let up on his training routine.
  • Badasses Wear Bandanas: Nakai Gamon, who is also a Badass Biker to boot.
  • Boxing Battler: Paolo uses this fighting style.
  • Classy Cravat: Shuperi Inowey wears a cravat as part of his attire.
  • Cool Shades: Ikegami Ryuya, a Bouncer, wears these.
  • Cyborg: Both Jiao, the person hosting the tournament, and Xell, a product of the former's experiments, are these.
  • Deadly Doctor: Dr. Daro is a physician and also a skilled fighter.
  • Eye Patch Of Power: Jiao wears an eyepatch over his left eye.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Fenrir wears a body suit that lacks a right sleave and left legging.
  • Final Boss: Xell is the final opponent of the arcade ladder.
  • Gender-Blender Name: Fenrir is a woman named after a male creature, a giant wolf to be exact, from Norse Mythology.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Nishioka Giichi has a prominent vertical one over his right eye. Given that he's part of the Yakuza, it's more likely he'd lean toward the latter version of the trope.
  • Hospital Hottie: Rukmini Patel, the companion of Dr. Daro (both characters depicted in this image here), is a nurse in a cleavage baring outfit.
  • Idol Singer: Noel has this as her occupation.
  • Lady in Red: Takezaki Asuka wears a red kimono to invoke this as part of an effort to distract opponents.
  • Mad Scientist: Jiao is an unscrupulous scientist who specializes in cybernetics.
  • Manly Facial Hair: Dr. Daro and Paolo each have mustaches and in the case of the former has a goatee to go along with it.
  • Ms. Fanservice: The women associated with each fighter are designed to appeal to players (at the very least those in its native Japan), but the arguably most indisputable examples regardless of regional differences are Christie and Reika, the companions of Chad Apico and Ryuya respectively. They are buxom ladies wearing tight dresses that accentuate their curvy figures. Christie, as a blonde bombshell hailing from the United States also qualifies as a Gorgeous Gaijin. Of the Sub-bosses, Asuka and Fenrir also qualify.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Asuka has this appearance. Her red kimono accentuates her physical features.
  • Sarashi: Giichi wears this as his only clothing.
  • Sexy Scandinavian: Fenrir, who is a blonde lady hailing from Norway.
  • Sociopathic Soldier: Landy Ichihara is one of these and shown with a Slasher Smile in his artwork.
  • Token Minority: The American Capoeira practitioner Chad Apico and Indian doctor Daro are the only black guy and south-central Asian man respectively on the roster.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Xell has a torso that is disproportionately large to the rest of his body from the waist down.
  • Yakuza: Asuka and Giichi are members of such groups with the latter having an elaborate tattoo especially prominent on his right shoulder.
