- What Could Have Been: This game was originally going to be something completely different. It had its genesis as a game called "Force Five" and was planned to be published by Sega. One Guest Fighter who was going to be on Force Five's roster was Del Sol who had debuted in Fighting Vipers 2.
- According to Giantbomb.com, it is reported that "Footage from location test versions of the game shows that these scenes [showing the women associated with the defeated fighter] were planned to involve undressing based on the player's performance that match."
