Goime 500 (pronounced "goym") is a Platform Game by Cary Huang of The Huang Twins that was released in 2011. You play as a smiling face named Person McPerson who has to explore the vast gameworld and perform various tasks to get 500 achievements.

Compare Achievement Unlocked, another platformer based on getting hundreds of achievements for various tasks.

This game provides examples of:

  • Achievement Mockery: A lot of achievements is earned by dying or failing minigames.
  • Achievement System: The whole game's about getting 500 achievements for various tasks, ranging from mundane to totally random.
  • Common HTTP Status Code: You get the "Error: File Not Found" achievement by typing 404 with number blocks.
  • Completion Meter: The top-middle of the screen shows how many achievements you've earned and their overall percentage.
  • Dialogue Tree: When talking to the Guy or the Pink Zone Owner, you can select one of three responses. Specific responses grant achievements, but the dialogue will eventually loop.
  • Difficulty by Acceleration: The Avoider minigame has balls drop at an increasing speed, making them super fast by the time you have 20 points.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: The Pink Zone Owner will kill you if you give just one answer that offends her. Don't try to run away either, because that also makes you die.
  • End-Game Results Screen: The ending screen shows the run's completion time and best time across all runs.
  • Game Within a Game: The Arcade lets you play very simple versions of Pong, Space Invaders, and an avoider game.
  • Intangibility: You can press G to turn into a ghost, passing through walls. The Guy will get freaked out if you turn in front of him.
  • Level-Map Display: You can open a map of the entire game world by pressing M or clicking a button.
  • Obvious Rule Patch: You can't ghost in the marathon while the timer's going, the invisible room, or to gain access to the Pink Zone, as that would trivialize those areas.
  • Portal Endpoint Resemblance: Many portals are placed near areas that are colored similarly to them.
  • Save Point: The game saves when you touch a green tile labeled "SAVE GAME".
  • Schmuck Bait: The first two achievements for touching the lamp tell you to stop touching it, with the second being much more blunt. Doing so for the third time makes the lamp fall.
  • Stop Poking Me!: The player character gets visibly upset when you click on him.
  • Take That, Audience!: You can pay your two cents to get "our two cents", which means being told that you're playing horribly.
