Flesh Birds is a Survival Horror Video Game by Germfood, who is best known for Night of the Consumers.

The birds of the woods have gone ravenous. They attack any human they come across, kill them, and then eat their corpse. You're one of the few who's managed to escape their wrath by hiding in a cabin.

Your coworker tells you that most of the workers have sought shelter in the church, so you decide to go as well.

The game was released on November 8th, 2019.

Flesh Birds contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: A man in one of the cabins is seen holding the bloody stump where his arm used to be. After you talk to him, a bird breaks through the window behind him and carries him off.
  • Apocalyptic Log: You can find pieces of paper in the cabins left behind by previous workers talking about what happened leading up to the events of the game.
  • Breakable Weapons: The shovels you can defend yourself with will break after enough use. Lucky you there's plenty of them on the forest floor.
  • Don't Go in the Woods: If you do, some "hippies" will make all the birds attack you and your colleagues.
  • Eldritch Abomination: When you get to the church and approach the giant flesh mound, a giant bird-bug monstrosity rises out of it and serves as the Boss Battle.
  • Feathered Fiend: The birds in this game will attack you on-site, and have slaughtered a LOT of people by the time the game starts.
  • Hyperactive Metabolism: If you're low on health, you can heal by eating a bush that's covered in berries.
  • Kill It with Fire: You can find a flamethrower near the end of the game, which will torch the birds as well as the boss in the church.
  • Retraux: The game is based on old First-Person Shooters like Doom, being rendered in flat 16-bit images in a 3D environment.
  • Safe Zone Hope Spot: At the beginning of the game, the guy in the cabin with you will tell you that most of the people have sought shelter in the church, which makes getting there your goal. When you reach it, though, it's full of the corpses of everyone there, and giant flesh mounds from which the game boss emerges.
  • Shovel Strike: Your melee weapon in the game is a shovel, which can splatter the birds in one hit. Be careful, though, because it breaks after being used enough. Good thing the forest has plenty laying around.
