Factory Town is a 3D Town simulation game crossed with a Factory-Building Game, so that the town itself takes on aspects of one giant factory, such as conveyor belts going between buildings.

This game provides examples of:
- Company Town: You manage one of these, though there's no slogans or anything to say what company it is.
- Elemental Magic: Magic works with the four basics: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. There's research on the elements, elements become components of items that get crafted, etc.
- Fire Is Red: Fire element is depicted red.
- Inconveniently-Placed Conveyor Belt: Poorly planned conveyor belts can cause this.
- Uncommon Time: The main theme of the game is in 7/8.
