Blandia, also known as "ブランディア" (Spelled out as Burandia), is a 1992 Fighting Game and Arcade Game. It was developed and published by Allumer, Ltd.

This game is a sequel to Gladiator. It takes place five years after the events of the first game. Gurianos had defeated Gildus and brought peace to the Great Continent of Eurasia. But then Gurianos catches wind that Gildus has been resurrected. So he decides to go to the Castle Of Gold once again and confirm the rumours.

This Video Game contains examples of:

  • Bling of War: Naturally given his love of gold, Gildus is decked out from head to toe in gold plate.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The second sub-boss Xeldus is Iriana's father, defeated and brainwashed by Gildus into being his servant.
  • Captain Ersatz: McGill is clearly a stand-in for Conan the Barbarian.
  • The Chosen One: The playable characters were each chosen by one of the six gods of the setting to set out to defeat Gildus. At the end of each match, the patron of the winner celebrates while the loser's patron is dismayed.
  • Clothing Damage: Several of the characters wear armor that acts as additional health and must be destroyed before health damage can be inflicted.
  • Dark Action Girl: Imageo, a spellcaster in Gildus' service and the last opponent faced before the man himself.
  • Devious Daggers: The first sub-boss is Launa, a diminutive demi-human who fights by Dual Wielding knives.
  • Expy: Irriana is a non-villainous version of Irene, the sub-boss from the first stage of Gladiator most well known for being the game's Miss Fanservice via Clothing Damage.
  • Fantastic Racism: The "Wizard Tribe" from which Jurane and Imageo hail is implied to be on the receiving end of this according to one of the former's winquotes.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Irriana has blonde hair and happens to function as a heroic counterpart to Irene from Gladiator.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Diokles apparently had an offscreen one between Gladiator (In which he was the third to last opponent before Gildus himself) and this game.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: As in Gladiator, Gurianos, Diokles, Iriana and Gildus wield these. Xeldus (the only character identified as a knight) also uses a set.
  • Lady and Knight: Although not actually a knight, Gurianos appears to have this dynamic with the unnamed queen he rescues in his ending.
  • Lady of Black Magic: Jurane and Imageo are a pair of spellcasters in an otherwise all-martial cast.
  • Lineage Comes from the Father: In her ending, Irriana inherits her father's position as a knight of their kingdom. Her mother is never mentioned.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Just like in Gladiator, Irriana. She is the only female character who can be subjected to Clothing Damage, and can potentially end every fight in a Battle Bikini. Unlike her predecessor Irene, she cannot be rendered topless.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Diokles and McGill become kings in their respective endings. The text states that this does not stop them from personally intervening in wars (Diokles) or going on other such adventures (McGill)
  • Weapon Specialization:
    • Jurane is the only spear-wielder in a cast largely consisting of swordsmen. Curiously, she's a spellcaster.
    • As mentioned above, Launa uses a pair of knives.
    • Also mentioned above, Imageo fights with a magic wand.
