The ruthless Doraize Dukedom sought to bring the world to its knees by leading destructive raids across the world. When Super Joe is captured trying to stop the Dukedom, the FF Corps division of the Bionic Commandos drops Rad Spencer behind the lines to deliver his own raid on the Doraize Dukedom in order to save Super Joe and discover the truth of the Albatross Project run by Wiseman, the Director of the Doraize Dukedom.

''Bionic Commando (1992) contains examples of:

  • Adaptation Name Change: Generalismo Kilt is called Director Wiseman here and his faction is also called the Doraize Dukedom instead of the Badds.
  • Adapted Out: Due to the futuristic setting, Master-D has no counterpart with parts of his character given to Wiseman.
  • Badass in Distress: In addition to Super Joe, Rad gets caught by the enemy and locked up with no weapons. Fortunately, the nameless female soldier arrives to break him out so he can make an attempt to reclaim his weapons.
  • Bag of Spilling: Once Rad is caught, all his weapons get taken away. The moment the female soldier saves him, he must reclaim the weapons.
  • Composite Character:
    • Super Joe fulfills a similar role to Hal in that he gives you the weapon needed to kill the enemy leader.
    • Doraize combines elements of Kilt and Master-D. Like Kilt, he seeks to use the Albatross to meet his ambitions but no signs of him stealing the Albatross plans in this universe is hinted at leading to the credentials that he created the machine similar to Master-D. Lastly, during the last level, he sics a gigantic machine on Rad similar to Master-D making him fight the Albatross and later tries to escape when his plans are going south with the player having only one shot to kill him before uses the fire to kill him instead again like Master-D.
    • As opposed to three characters called "Destroyer-(Insert Number)", there is only one Destroyer.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: In the original game, Kilt dies when Master-D backstabs him when he feigned still being dead until the last second. Here his counterpart, Wiseman dies when Rad blows up his escape craft after his plans were ruined.
  • Decomposite Character: The role of guarding Super Joe's cell was split from the Wired-Gunner boss to new character General Rile.
  • Mythology Gag: The missiles the player is set to stop in one level are a nod to the original arcade game where the player must stop missiles from getting launched.
  • Omnicidal Maniac: In the Game Boy game, Director Wiseman's end game is to use the Albatross to blow apart the planet which will lead to everything getting destroyed.
  • Red Herring: The player was lead to believe the Albatross refers to a set of nuclear missiles. But this was nothing more than a setup as the commander who reveals it that they are toys compared to the Albatross.
