Afrika is a 2008 photography game for the
PlayStation 3. The game sees the player character assigned to photograph wildlife of the fictional game preserve the Manyanga Conservation Area, sending photoes to various clients.
Afrika provides examples of:
- Misplaced Wildlife: The Manyanga Conservation Area is set in East Africa, but fauna from elsewhere on the continent shows up, like the Pgymy Hippo and the Okapi, who are both from West Africa, and the Barbary Lion which is from North Africa.
- Rhino Rampage: Both the Black and White Rhinos will charge you if your too close.
- Panthera Awesome: Both Lions and Leopards show up, as well as Cheetah. There is also the Nunda, a specific kind of lion bigger then others.
- Product Placement: Your cameras are from Sony, naturally for a PS 3 game, but your vehicle is a Suzuki Jeep.
