- Creator Backlash: Mike Puwal has expressed his dislike for Toxicology, due to how small the band's discography was. He did like making the original songs for the album though.
- Creator's Favorite: Mike Puwal has stated that his favorite song is "Small Town" and Syn's favorite is "Suicide". Violent J has also said his favorite Zug Izland song is "The River".
- Cut Song: "How Does It Feel?" was a song planned to be in The Promised Land, but was leaked and exclusive to ZugArmy.com for a while, which makes it inaccessible on the wayback machine. Fortunately it was also released to ZugUK.com and has been uploaded online and restored.
- Demand Overload: There were reports of the band's site crashing in 2004 due to the amount of people who wanted to view the music video for "Saved".
- Fan Community Nicknames: The band's fans are called "Zuggalos", a play on the band's name and the word "Juggalo", as the band was on Psychopathic Records for the majority of it's lifespan.
- Inspiration for the Work:
- During the 20 year reunion interview of Cracked Tiles, Violent J says they got the idea to cover "Cry" because because of them seeing a girl perform it at a town in Alabama.
- 3:33 was titled after the band finding out that most of the songs they recorded for the album were 3 minutes and 33 seconds long.
- "Promised Land" is about the band's negative experience with Psychopathic Records.
- Similarly Named Works: Done deliberately. The band named themselves after Detroit's Zug Island and theme themselves around the toxicity involving the island.
- What Could Have Been:
- Violent J has mentioned shooting a video for the song "Prison Song", yet no known video exists.
- Syn has said that he tried to get TechN9ne on Nebula but it simply fell through.
- Working Title: "We Live" was originally going to be titled "Shangri-La".
