- Accidentally-Correct Writing:
- Mr Zoat didn't realize that how Atlantis functioned was similar to how Britain functioned until after he had the idea for the former.
- Mr Zoat was unaware that there was an actual Nazi named Helmut(h) Schreiber when he used that name for Hitler's clone.
- After the Renegade and Grayven fuse, Artemis uses magic arrows to make sure the Renegade's personality wins out. It's noted that the arrows used are analogous to the Elements of Harmony, something Mr Zoat didn't seem to realize until it was pointed out to him.
- In real life, Sparta ultimately lost to other city-states like Athens due to their overly barbaric traditions. Something similar happens in the story, with the brutal and uncompromising Sparta being basically succeeded by the more understanding and intelligent Athyns Mr. Zoat didn't intend for this to symbolize anything, being a complete coincidence.
- Hephaestus' Meaningful Rename was a complete accident by Mr Zoat, who just wanted to give him a new but similar sounding name.
- Follow the Leader: This fic has led to a lot of about Lantern SI stories in DC settings (mostly Young Justice).
- Outdated by Canon: Due to the fact that this fanfic was created before the show was brought back for season 3, a lot of the lore is very different from canon.
- Throw It In!: One of the fans of the story wrote an omake about how Senator Knight, after getting blasted by the media about his attempt to have magic banned in the wake of the "Child and Adult World" story, wasn't being stupid, but more that he didn't see anyone else trying to do anything and wanted to at least get things moving. As a result, he's branded a moron by the public and his election plans are fairly dead, when he had nothing but the best intentions. The short was so good that the author made it canon.
- A few others have also been added in- one about the selection process of the Justice League's new members, another about the League's side of the conversation about Match (the Pure Kryptonian clone that Cadmus made), and one of a sparring session after Miss Martian learns to shapeshift into a Star Conqueror.
- An omake about Earth -14 and Blue Lantern Paul/Power Ring was adopted in which Power Ring is revealed to be the babysitter of the Young Offenders and the ongoing power vacuum caused by the Management's death.
- Lynne Wayland returned to the story and began to have more significance due to popular demand.
- The various crossovers in Fool's Canon are a result of Mr Zoat having ideas that wouldn't leave his head.
- What Could Have Been:
- Zoat wanted to have Jade and Obsidian, Alan Scott's children, appear, but because of the age discrepancy this would have caused (Alan being in his 90s, while they are in their 30s in the comics) he regrettably cut them. Had he kept them, they would have been born while their mother was imprisoned.
- The original outline for the story had Zatanna as Paul's Love Interest. That didn't happen because the characters' personalities organically grew into a different direction.
- Write What You Know: Mr Zoat has a degree in Contemporary Ethics and Political Philosophy. Paul's solution to controlling the power of the orange light is through creating a philosophy that can do that.
