• Development Hell: Despite promises to try and spin off a full anime series from the OVA, there's been little news to suggest such a thing will happen.
• Schedule Slip: The OVA was originally planned for a December 2015 release but as of April 2015 has been pushed back to Spring 2016. It got delayed again in April 2016, being pushed back to August 1, 2016, and this release date is only for the Kickstarter backers.
• Stillborn Franchise: It was going to be a full-fledged franchise. After two years of Troubled Production, they managed to make a 22-minute pilot that was released to middling reviews. Two years later they released an expanded version that performed better but with the people involved having moved on to other works, it's highly unlikely it will ever be revisited.
• Troubled Production: After the Kickstarter concluded in Sept. 2014, all news about the project went totally silent. Four months later in Jan. 2015, it was revealed by Hiroaki Yura that Creative Intelligence Arts was no longer involved with the project and that Kinema Citrus was taking full creative control. Additionally, after the production shakeup, it turned out that costs for producing the project were going to be higher than anticipated, even after raising over 1.5 times the amount of funds for the original Kickstarter goal. One major reason was because they had failed to take operational costs into account. Many of the backers were not amused. It ultimately bit when they turned out to be $269,472.32 dollars in the red.
