- According to Johnny Yong Bosch's comment on Ultraman connection, he is honored to join the Ultraman universe as Gento Hiruma as a Tokusatsu veteran. He joins the likes of Masashi Taniguchi and Kane Kosugi as the third actor (and first Western actor) to portray a Kamen Rider (he voiced Dragon Knight in Kamen Rider Dragon Knight's Wii and DS game), an Ultraman, and a Power Ranger/Sentai Ranger (Adam Park in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers).
- Keith Silverstein pretended to be an Ultraman when he was a kid. Now, he's voicing an Ultraman character who is Da Chief.

- You Look Familiar: Daniel Van Thomas, the English voice actor of Ultraman Zero from Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends to Ultraman X The Movie: Here Comes! Our Ultraman!, returned to the series as the dub voice of Tatsuki Aobe following the return of US-produced Ultra Series dubs.

- Kiyotaka Taniguchi confirmed in an interview that he declined to make a celebration series of Ultraman Gaia like the preceding Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga (celebrating Ultraman Tiga) and Ultraman Decker (celebrating Ultraman Dyna) because he didn't feel the current budget per series would allow him to create a product that would do justice to its inspiration series, which he views as one of the most well-done series ever of the Ultra Series franchise.
- Kengo Kosuni, who designed Bazanga and Taganular, stated that the latter's ability to switch between a "funny" and "grotesque" face was meant as a homage to the Makai Beasts of Space Sheriff Sharivan.
