  • Banned in China: The first 26 episodes of the first season were dubbed in Chinese under the name of "Mysterious Planet Twin Princesses" (Chinese: 神秘星球孪生公主) and was aired in CCTV-14 on 6PM (18:00PM) in March 27, 2007, but was disguised as Chinese animation to bypass the law that enforced in 2006 that foreign programming never aired on primetime slot in Chinese television stations. After one month, this show was banned from Chinese television after someone pointed out that the show was originally made from Japan. However, it can be viewed on Bilibili or any other Chinese video sites since the law does not apply to video sites.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Junko Minagawa does a believable portrayal of him, since he does sound like an actual prepubescent boy and his voice is deeper than Tetsuya Kakihara (Bright) and Hiro Shimono (Auler), who are both males themselves, but this only gets hilarious when you realize she can't exactly hit the low notes in the Christmas Album.
  • Defictionalization: During the first season's run, there were actual Princess Parties held to promote the show.
  • Franchise Killer: Gyu! did not do as well as the first season, and there were rumors during the time it was airing that the episode count was going to be cut to 39 instead of 52. Thankfully that wasn't the case, but there's a reason why there is no continuation after Gyu!
  • The Other Darrin: Tio's original voice actress, Vanilla Yamazaki, was replaced by Shihomi Mizowaki, who provided his voice for the rest of the original series and reprised the role in Gyu!
  • Post-Script Season: Gyu!. Between taking the characters out of their unique world and putting them in a relatively generic setting, this was certain to happen.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The writers of the show decided not to focus too much on the Love Dodecahedron between Fine, Rein, Bright, and Eclipse because they felt that romance would draw away some of their viewers.
    • Before Gyu! officially aired, official character descriptions that leaked described Noche as a girl. Either the producers made a mistake, or Noche was originally going to be a girl in the show.
