Trivia / Transformers: Rescue Bots Academy

Go To

  • Adored by the Network: Before its premiere, it was renewed for a second season. Discovery Family previewed the series a month before the official premiere. Also, the network airs two episodes per week.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The second season is nowhere to be found on Netflix or any other streaming service outside of the US. In addition, when Hanni and the Wild Woods premieres on April 1, 2023, it will replace Transformers Rescue Bots Academy's timeslot of 7:30 AM, meaning that the latter show will no longer air on the channel, also causing the second season to be completely unavailable. As if that wasn't enough, Netflix dropped the series in 2024.
  • No Export for You: Like its predecessor, Rescue Bots Academy never received a Japanese release due to that particular niche being filled by other toylines and series.
  • The Other Darrin: None of the voice actors from the original Rescue Bots or its related shows Transformers: Prime and Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2015) reprised their roles in this series because Rescue Bots Academy instead used non-union New York-based voice actors.
    • Cody Burns is voiced by Andy Zou instead of Elan Garfias.
    • Francine Greene is voiced by Kaitlin Becker instead of Diamond White.
    • Paul Guyet replaces LeVar Burton as the voice of Dr. Ezra Greene, Jeff Bennett as the voice of Mayor Luskey and Steve Blum as the voice of Heatwave.
    • Jeremy Levy replaces D.C. Douglas as Mr. Harrison and Will Friedle as Bumblebee.
    • Todd Perlmutter replaces Jeffrey Combs as Ratchet, Shannon McKain as Jerry, Jeff Bennett as Huxley Prescott and Robbie Daymond as Myles.
    • Terrence Flint replaces Khary Payton as the voice of Grimlock.
    • Instead of Peter Cullen, Optimus Prime is voiced by Hiro Diaz for the first two episodes and by Jake Tillman for the remainder of the series.
    • Michael Hansen replaces Parvesh Cheena as the voice of Blades.
    • Chase is voiced by Frank Cwiklik instead of D.C. Douglas.
    • Keyon Williams replaces Imari Williams as the voice of Boulder.
  • Out of Order:
    • "If At First..." was aired in some countries in the production order.
    • Episode 19 features Blades teaching the class and the class seemed to have already known him, but in Episode 23, the class was shown to have met Blades for the very first time, implying that Episode 23 happens chronologically before Episode 19.
  • Production Posse: It has the same pool of voice talent as Transformers: Cyberverse.
  • Renewed Before Premiere: In addition to being renewed before it even officially aired, it was given a special preview a month before the official premiere.
  • Role Reprise: Several voice actors from Transformers: Cyberverse reprise their roles in this series as a result of hiring the same New York voice actors as that series.
    • Hiro Diaz only voiced Optimus Prime in the first two episodes, while Jake Tillman got to reprise Optimus Prime from "Rescue Promo" onward.
    • Jeremy Levy returns to voice Bumblebee and Perceptor.
    • Todd Perlmutter once again voices Ratchet.
  • Short Run in Peru: The second half of the second and final season finished airing in the UK nine months before those episodes would start airing in the United States.
  • What Could Have Been: Bumblebee's first two design sketches here are a variation of his Transformers: Rescue Bots appearance, suggesting the Hasbro mandate to use the evergreen designs was not in place when the series was first created.
