• Creator's Pest: You can tell that Brandon Easton really, really does not like Hot Rod. Of all of the season 3 characters that die in the comic, Hot Rod gets the most abuse out of any of them. This culminates in the way he is actually killed off, dying as an apparent result of using the Matrix to destroy Unicron. This obviously did not happen in canon and no explanation is given for why it would happen here.
• Running the Asylum: As stated on the main page, this comic has all the hallmarks of an early internet Fix Fic for the movie. Optimus Prime lives, Hot Rod spends most of the story being picked on, and all the characters that would become mainstays of season 3 get killed off over the course of the comic. It's to the point that TFWiki.net calls it "(a) 1994-era alt.toys.transformers fanfic in official comic form".
