Trivia / Toy Story 3 (Circle 7)

• B-Team Sequel: If the film was made, then it would've been handled by Disney Circle 7 Animation instead of Pixar, who did the first two films (and eventually the rest of the series after Disney bought Pixar).
• The Other Darrin: Had the film gone into production, Tom Hanks and John Ratzenberger wouldn't have reprised their roles as Woody and Hamm - the latter has gone on record as saying he wouldn't do a sequel without Pixar's involvement. On the other hand, Tim Allen indicated a willingness to return with or without Pixar.
• Recycled Script: The film's plot would have been a retread of Toy Story 2, in that it involved a main character (suffering damage or a fault to highlight their mortality as a toy) being transported to a new location against their will and the other characters going there to rescue them. Both narratives likewise feature at least one duplicate Buzz and a subplot in which Rex's interest in playing a game is juxtaposed against a material circumstance mirroring the gameplay (and which directly or indirectly resolves a conflict). The main differences are that Buzz is the one in distress, Woody is the one leading the rescue team, and Jessie and Bullseye are now part of the team.
