Trivia / Time Warp Trio

  • Acting for Two: Tony Daniels voices Uncle Joe and Mad Jack, who interact in "Plaid to the Bone".
  • Creator's Oddball: For WGBH Boston, who co-produced the show, as this may be the only show, besides Peep and the Big Wide World, they produced that never aired on PBS (but it was once planned for the network initially, more on that down below), however it currently does air on PBS Kids in Africa and PBS currently has distribution rights to the series, so it’s possible it could appear on the US network sometime in the future.
  • No Export for You: The series wasn't exported to many non-English speaking countries, the only known countries that got the series were Israel, Ukraine, Portugal (which all got the show), a Spanish speaking country (which got the first book, unknown if it's from Latin America or Spain) and South Korea (which got the most lucky out of them all by getting both the books and show, albeit subbed rather than dubbed), it's unknown why but it's possible it was because of the show dealing with history, and certain countries being weary about showing their past, a similar case happened with the 2009 television adaptation of Horrible Histories, another book-based history teaching kids' show.
  • The Other Darrin: Sarah Gadon voiced Jodie for the show's first 14 episodes, but was replaced by Tajja Isen afterwards.
  • Out of Order: In "2105", they briefly travel through time periods that have visited before, including the old west from "The Good, the Bad, and the Goofy". However, that episode didn't air until a while later.
  • Recursive Adaptation: Some episodes of the cartoon were adapted into books.
  • Troubled Production: There's evidence to suggest the show had a mild case of it. A 1999 article says an animated series was in production and was meant to air in 2001. This didn't happen, and a 2002 article says it was still in production to air on PBS, but they were having trouble getting it off the ground. It eventually aired in 2005 on Discovery Kids.
