• Creator's Pest: Sara Douglass hated Faraday in the original trilogy, and had to be persuaded by her editor to not kill her off early and let her finish her character arc (said character arc ends very unpleasantly). Since fan reception to Faraday was so warm, Douglass gave her a large role in the second book series and finally lets her earn her happy ending there.
