• Outdated by Canon: Many Masterverse stories written before Legacy of Romulus rely on the then-common fanon that Admiral Quinn was secretly an Undine infiltrator, and the Federation and Klingon Empire inked a ceasefire when in the game they were still at war. At the time, Cryptic had not advanced the game's storyline in a couple of years due to lack of funding (then-publisher Atari was going through financial troubles at the time). The 2014 featured episode "Surface Tension" confirmed that Quinn was the real thing and brought a different end to the war.
• Outlived Its Creator: Primary author Gregory "Sander_233" Sanders died waiting for a heart transplant in 2015, but several authors remained and resurrected The 'Verse in summer 2017.
