- Fandom Nod: The fourth issue of Gwenpool Strikes Back has Gwen bring back several past incarnations of herself. Notably, the descriptions given for them echo the fandom's views:
- Unbelievable Gwenpool Gwen is given an absolutely glowing description, reflecting how she's viewed as the best incarnation of the character and the standard that all the others are held against.
- Rocket Raccoon and Groot Gwen is referred to as a violent "woke idiot," in reference to both her constant use of guns and having once delivered an unprompted Author Filibuster about comics and violence against women.
- Champions (2016) Gwen is noted to be especially hyperactive and annoying, due to her behavior in that series having a tendency to irritate both her fellow teammates and reader alike.
- West Coast Avengers (2018) Gwen is said to be the "cool hot girl", as Stefano Caselli's art was praised by fans for being very attractive.
- Word of God:
- Writer Christopher Hastings has confirmed that along with Marvel Comics, she also read DC and Indie titles. Though, of course, she can never mention this in-series (though, the first issue of Gwenpool Strikes Back does have her namedrop Dinah Lance in a way that infers she's a fan of the character).
- He also stated her official age is 18. This was later updated to 19 in Gwenpool Strikes Back.
- Editor Heather Antos mentioned off-hand that Gwenpool has a crush on Miles Morales which puts a darker spin on Future Gwenpool causing a crisis event that led to the death of his wife and child.
- What Could Have Been: Hastings spoke in an article about several things he wanted to do with the book, but was unable to.
- He wanted to use the Poole Boys more, but wasn't able due to them all being arrested.
- While this was touched on in the final issue, what happened to Teddy after the events of issue 20 would have been covered in more depth — specifically, its own arc lampooning the Marvel universe's multiple, at times contradictory, afterlifes.
- He wanted to make the "Arcade" storyline much longer, but they already planned for it to be a short adventure, and Gurihiru were already busy working on the next story arc.
- Future Evil Gwenpool would have gone on to become Gwen's Arch-Enemy.
- Hastings has also mentioned that he’d love to write a Terrible Eye miniseries, the chances of which are increasing unlikely.
