• What Could Have Been: Ewing states in his Issue #100 letter page that his original intent was for Galactus to sacrifice his golden form and return in his purple form. As he continued writing, he realized purple Galactus has been played out too much and the series ends with Galactus remaining as the Lifebringer, for the time being averting Status Quo Is God… until the events of Infinity Countdown, where Galactus would revert back to being the World Eater.
