    • The second season premiered immediately after the first season. unfortunately...
  • Cowboy Be Bop At His Computer:
    • The synopsis for "Waffles and Punishment" say that Storm is the Smurf that competes against Greedy in the Waffle Competition. The Smurf who actually does is Lily, not Storm.
    • The synopsis for "Wild Gets Tamed" calls the muffins Lily, Blossom, and Begonia are eating cupcakes.
    • The French airing of "No Smurf Out!" says that Scaredy is stuck in his house with Brainy, Handy, Begonia, and Chef. It is Blossom instead of Begonia who is trapped.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices:
    • Multiple characters (Jokey, Clumsy, Greedy, Scaredy, Baby, Lazy) in the English dub.
    • In the French dub, Lazy and Scaredy are voiced by Magali Rosenzweig.
    • While easy to miss, Azrael is also voiced by Cherise Silvestri in the first few episodes when not consisting of stock cat noises.
    • While Azrael mostly communicates by meowing via stock sound effects, he's voiced by Kaycie Chase when he's heard laughing or screaming. Compared to previous works where Azrael is mostly voiced by males (with the exception of the Greek dub of the 1981 series).
  • Cross-Regional Voice Acting: The English dub was done in Belgium, except for Kaycie Chase, as she lives in Paris.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Mark Irons, the voice of Gargamel, Dimwitty, Harmony, and multiple other characters is the voice director of the series.
  • Domestic-Only Cartoon: This is the third animated project starring The Smurfs that was made in Belgium. With Les Adventures des Schtroumpfs by TVA Dupuis, and The Smurfs And The Magic Flute by Belvision Studios being the only animated projects made within the series' native country.
  • Dueling Dubs:
    • The series has two Dutch dubs: one is the Flemish Dutch dub in Belgium, and the other is the Hollandic Dutch dub in the Netherlands.
  • Early-Bird Release: "The Round Up/Waffle Wednesday" were briefly released on On Demand providers ahead of their official airdate, but they were removed a day later.
  • Multiple Languages, Same Voice Actor: Kaycie Chase voices Jokey (and later Baby) in both the French and English dub.
  • Role Reprise:
    • In Italian dub, Marco Guadagno, Fabrizio Mazzotta and Paolo Buglioni reprising their roles as Brainy, Clumsy and Gargamel from the original series, plus Joy Saltarelli, Gabriele Tacchi, Gemma Donati and Erica Necci reprise their roles as Smurfette, Grouchy, Smurfstorm and Smurfblossom from Smurfs: The Lost Village.
    • In Brazilian dub, Gilberto Baroli reprises his role as Papa Smurf form the second dub of the original series. Márcio Simões reprise his role as Gargamel from live-action movies. Angélica Borges, Fred Mascarenhas, Yan Gesteira, Léo Martins, Ricardo Juarez and Rodrigo Antas reprise their roles as Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy, Hefty, Grouchy and Farmer from The Lost Village.
  • Screwed by the Network: After "No Smurf Out!" and "Souffle Shuffle", the show went on an eight month hiatus. When it returned, the show briefly moved to Nick Jr. and only aired at 9 in the morning with only one rerun on Sundays at 8 in the morning. Zig-Zagged starting with "Smurfs on Fire" which moved the show back to Nickelodeon and put it on a timeslot of 1 in the afternoon.
  • Series Hiatus: While the show airs normally in Belgium and most other countries, it periodically takes sporadic to longer hiatuses in the United States at the end of Q4 before resuming next year.
    • The first hiatus of the show lasted between November 12, 2021 and ended in January 2022.
    • The second ongoing hiatus of the show began on October 21, 2022 and ended in July 2023. This is the longest hiatus, which lasted eight months.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • Baby was voiced by Bérangére McNeese until "Adventures in Smurfsitting". Since "Smurfy Day Care", Baby has his voice unchanged in the English dub.
    • Painter was voiced by Charlie Cattrall in the first season. From the second season on, he is voiced by Madeleine Fletcher.
  • Unspecified Role Credit: Like the 80s series, the voice actors are credited, but not to their characters.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • One episode would have originally been about Jokey doing jokes on people, so Papa Smurf and a few others would "alter" the box so that they wouldn't explode. Jokey falls into a state of depression, but then learns what happened to it, so he uses magical explosive powder to create 100 mini-Jokeys. Parts of the episode were reworked into the episode "Joke's On You".
    • Some pre-pictures of the series noticeablely feature some minor changes. Examples include bigger eyes and a thicker art style.
    • Smurfette's personality was originally different. As the pitch bible says, "Smurfette is also a little scattered, always trying the newest thing, then losing interest as she moves onto something else, leaving a trail of unfinished projects behind her."
  • Working Title: The series was known as "The Smurfs: A New Touch of Blue" prior to the October 2020 teaser trailer featuring Jokey and Harmony.
