• Money, Dear Boy: Director Brian Trenchard-Smith stated in an interview that he only did the second film because of the opportunity to work with Michael York, and the (relatively) high budget the studio was offering him; much higher than any film he'd ever worked on. Trenchard-Smith proceeded to heavily rewrite the original script with John Fasano to emphasize the genre elements already present, and add a self-aware sense of humour to the film.
• Romance on the Set: Casper Van Dien and Catherine Oxenberg married after making the first movie.
