In "Megiddo"; the Presidential order of succession seems all misused even by Artistic License – Law standards. In the movie, David Alexander (whose brother, Stone, happens to be The Antichrist) has risen to the office of Vice-President of the United States under Richard Benson; then becomes President when Benson - shortly after dying of a heart attack induced supernaturally after shaking hands with Stone (in spite of Benson being told by David and Col. Rick Howard of the number of people who opposed Stone dying after making close contact with him). This is when the line of succession goes awry: Soon after this and an argument with Secretary of State Breckinridge (who unlike David, Benson and Col. Howard supports Stone's One World Order), Breckinridge gets hold of video of Stone having killed his and David's father a decade earlier, only doctored to look and sound like David was the killer; then goes public with the doctored video in an attempt to have David deposed as President in order to take the job himselfnote ignoring the Presidential Succession Act of 1947; which moved the Secretary of State from being second in the line of succession (behind the Vice-President) to fourth behind the Vice-President, Speaker of the House and Senate president pro tempore. Additionally; it's not made clear in the movie whether David named a replacement Vice-President even though under Section 2 of the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, David could nominate a Vice-President who would take office after being confirmed by both houses of Congress.
