Trivia / The Kissing Booth 3

Go To

  • Dawson Casting: Played straight with the cast for most of the film, but inverted with the epilogue, which jumps six years later, as 24-year-olds Elle and Lee, and 25-year-old Noah are played by Joey King (20), Joel Courtney (23), and Jacob Elordi (22), respectively. Still played straight with Meganne Young (29) as 24-year-old Rachel, though.
  • The Other Darrin: The Latin dub faced this again.
    • Roberto Molina, who voiced Elle's father in the second film, is replaced by Roberto Mendiola.
    • César Beltrán, who voiced Noah and Lee's father in the first two films, is replaced by Oscar Gómez.
    • Unlike the first two films, Marysol Cervantes did not return to voice Mia. This time, she was replaced by Regina Tiscareño.
    • Manuel Pérez replaced Gustavo Melgarejo as Tuppen.
  • Overtook the Manga: At the time The Kissing Booth 3 was released, Beth Reekles had only published two books and a short story, The Beach House, with The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance being released the same year as the second movie. Due to the sequels being filmed concurrently so they could be released back-to-back, the third movie is the first installment not directly based on the books (although it takes some inspiration from The Beach House).
  • Real Life Writes the Hairstyle: Joey King had shaved off her hair for her role in The Act and was still growing it back during the filming of The Kissing Booth 3. She wore a long wig to maintain continuity with the previous film, although in the ending Elle is depicted with a short hairstyle which utilized King's real hair.
  • Throw It In!: According to the Hilarious Outtakes shown in the credits, Noah bumping into a wall while leaving with Elle for "poetry reading" is an accident kept in the final film.
