- Directed by Cast Member: Erica Mendez also voices Erika Chiba in addition to directing the English dub of Season 2.
- Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": The movie chronologically takes place after the Visitor Arc, which hadn't been animated yet at the time. As a result, characters from the USNA like Angelina made their animated debut in that movie.
- No Dub for You: Aniplex USA didn't dub the first series for its North American release because of the initial fiasco involving the anime's fanbase. However, they eventually allowed Bang Zoom! Entertainment to dub the second season and the Honor Student spin-off as part of their on-going partnership with Funimation, who is exclusively streaming the dub. Eventually, the first season was dubbed and finally released via Hulu on January 19, 2022, leaving the movie as the only anime instalment left undubbed.
- Role Reprise: Yuichi Nakamura and Saori Hayami reprise their roles as Tatsuya and Miyuki in the anime after playing them in the audio drama CD.
- Schedule Slip: The second season was originally planned to air in Summer 2020 but the COVID-19 Pandemic pushed it back to Fall 2020.
