Trivia / The Hills Have Eyes (2006)

• Completely Different Title: In Mexico, the title is El Despertar del Diablo ("The Awakening of the Demon"). Bizarrely, this was not the Mexican title of the original Hills Have Eyes (which was La Colina del Terror, "The Hill of Terror"), but that of the original The Evil Dead (1981)!
• Dawson Casting: Brenda, who is presumably in her late teens, is played by the then-25 Emilie de Ravin.
• Disowned Adaptation: Michael Berryman felt the film as inferior to the original, feeling that the characters were flat and unlikable. However, he did compliment Alexandre Aja's direction and visual style.
• Missing Episode: Originally there was a Scene where A Mutant is seen Eating the Mother, it showed The Mutant graphically eating Her heart and went on longer. It was featured on Theluckyonesdiefirstdotcom on Valentines day of 2006. The Scene isn't extended in the Unrated DVD release.
