  • Channel Hop: This is the first (and likely only) new Floyd album to be distributed by Warner Music Group, who now own the Floyd catalog due to their purchase of Parlophone Records from Universal in 2013 (acquired when Universal had bought Parlophone's parent, EMI, three years previously.) note
  • Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: The album comes in four different editions; a CD, a double-LP, and the deluxe edition, which along with the CD contains a extra DVD or Blu-ray Disc of out-takes and videos as well as the album in 5.1 surround sound (the Blu-ray also includes a high-def stereo mix).
  • Promoted Fanboy: The artist who designed the cover, 18-year old Egyptian artist Ahmed Emad Eldin, was found by Hipgnosis' Aubrey Powell via the Adobe-owned BÄ“hance website.
  • Refitted for Sequel: Portions of the album are taken from The Big Spliff, an unreleased ambient album composed of outtakes from The Division Bell. In particular, the deluxe edition bonus tracks "TBS9" and "TBS14" are wholly lifted from that canned record, as indicated by their names.
