Trivia / The Crow: Wicked Prayer

• Creator Killer:
  • This is the first and only movie ever produced by Fubu Films.
  • After working on this film, director Lance Mungia didn't work any anything else of any description for an entire decade, and since then all his credits have been on theatrically-released documentaries.
• Disowned Adaptation: Norman Partridge, author of the original novel, has never seen the film and even refused Miramax's offer to send him a DVD.
• Fake Nationality:
  • A lot of people cringed at Edward Furlong being cast as the Crow, and Dennis Hopper's casting (and role in general) is pretty bizarre, but the use of Latinos as Native Americans—even if they're poorly (and briefly) Hand Waved as Aztecs—is borderline offensive
  • Canadian (of French Moroccan Sephardi Jewish descent) Emanuelle Chriqui as native Aztec Lily Ignites the Dawn.
• Franchise Killer: Effectively put an end to this incarnation of the Crow series, as the next proposed film is a reboot. It's likely the stink left by this film is part of the reason that the reboot was up in Development Hell for over a decade.
