- Dueling Works - Racing Games: The Crew 2 vs. Forza Horizon 4 in 2018. Critical reception-wise, The Crew 2 was easily trounced by Horizon 4 despite having a three-month head start. Racing game fans also prefer Horizon 4 (and by extension, the Forza Horizon series) due to the far better handling model.
- What Could Have Been: Hyundai, Subaru, and Toyota were meant to make their debut in The Crew 2. However, Toyota was cut due to its decision to pull its production cars out of non-Japanese racing games in 2017. Subaru and Hyundai were also cut due to licensing issues. Toyota finally made its debut in The Crew 2's sequel, The Crew Motorfest.
