• The Other Darrin: Snow was recast between seasons.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: Ironically, ABC got complaints from Disney, since it was an unauthorized parody of Snow White. It's unclear whether this or low ratings ultimately led to its cancellation, but Disney bought ABC after the show happened, opening up the possibility of a DVD release (though the show itself is owned by Sony Pictures Television).
• Screwed by the Network: After a fairly decent start; for the 1987-88 season ABC renewed The Charmings...only to put it up against new series A Different World on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. After some time and disastrous ratings; ABC moved it up 30 minutes to 8:00 p.m. - right up against A Different World parent series and the top-rated show on television: The Cosby Show. Based on this promo following the latter move, it appears that the producers at least suspected that the Charmings days were numbered despite the Mirror's attempt to take a defiant tone; and ABC to no one's surprise ended up canceling the series in February 1988.
