First, the coronavirus pandemic shutting down the Champions League in the middle of the 2020 knockout stage effectively delayed the start of season 4. Then in the summer, Bleacher Report's corporate parent Turner Sports ended its deal for the Champions League US TV rights a year early, putting the series' future into question.note Despite all this, B/R Football largely took it in stride, releasing compilations of the best moments for parts of the cast and a quarantine-themed short vid to keep the series going until a fourth season was officially confirmed for November 2020.
