- Creator Backlash:
- In one Q&A, he said that he wished that he hadn't called himself "The Amazing Atheist" because he has since grown to hate the way it instantly labels him.
- In a milder example, he also stopped doing "PWNAGE"-videos because he disliked that it made him seem like he couldn't be engaged in a reasonable debate.
- TJ has distanced himself from a lot of his old "anti-SJW" content in recent years. While he doesn't exactly disavow most of what he said in the past, he has expressed regret that the genre had been so heavily co-opted by right-wing reactionaries.
- Money, Dear Boy: The Watcher said in his "Justin Bieber Trollz" video that this was his only real reason for knocking Justin Bieber, whom he doesn't genuinely care enough about to truly hate.
- Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: He started uploading weekly Q&A videos, only for the majority of the questions to be either trolls or incredibly stupid. Because of it, he not only stopped doing Q&A Fridays, but also stopped updating his TJDoesLife channel at all for over a month. He would eventually start a parody Q&A video series called "The Wrong Advices".
