• Actor Allusion: Kevin Murphy is the voice of Tex's personal assistant computer in Tesla Effect. He is surprisingly vocal about bad movies and once spends a good minute quoting Mr. Freeze jokes from Batman & Robin when Tex finds freeze gun.
• Sequel Gap: Sixteen years between Overseer and Tesla Effect.
• Serendipity Writes the Plot: Originally Tex was supposed to wear dark leather shoes in Under a Killing Moon. However, those caused trouble with the greenscreen technology being used, so they were switched to white sneakers.
• So My Kids Can Watch: James Earl Jones worked well below his usual pay grade for Under a Killing Moon because his grandson was big into computer games at the time.
• Technology Marches On: Laserdiscs, VHS Cassettes, and Fax machines aren't as ubiquitous today, a mere 10-20 years later. There's no way you'd expect a VHS or laserdisc player in the board room of a research company, and not having a cellular phone is far more debilitating than not having a fax machine.
