  • Executive Meddling: See What Could Have Been below for more, but the reason why Hunter has such an undetailed body is in part due to Cartoon Network's Standards and Practices. One Twin's armband in his inmate disguise was also painted a solid red to remove Nazi symbolism, although Shay Lurie's original layouts show the swastika.
    • Jacknife's posters apparently had to be toned down as well, and the storyboards showed that he was to have a used blow-up doll cast off to the side in his cell. It was altered to be a teddy bear with a mask and a photo of a woman's body taped over it.
  • What Could Have Been: Although the change was better-received and seemed to work better for the crew and plot, Hunter was not originally defeated by the Twins, but by the inmates... who were piling on her and attempting to rape her, causing her to revert back to goo to escape their very advances. In addition, Alice immediately swiped Hunter's crystal off of her body (instead of swiping it from the Twins), which was to lead to the above rejected sequence. Hunter still somehow wound up sealed inside her crystal in the final scenes, so the revised ending explains her fate a little better, as well as showing how the Twins escaped from their capture.
    • Hunter's hair style was not decided on by the storyboard crew at first, though Karacas put in a revision note to state that she'd have to have hair long enough to cover her breasts (despite the lack of detail to them in the end). She can be seen with a curly perm in some of the storyboards, although she has exact same hairstyle as the Twins in other drafts. Hunter was also initially depicted with nipples and pubic hair throughout the plot, which were done away with due to the censors (the scene where she first morphs from the goop was to particularly feature a pair of nipples bulging out and forming).
    • When Hunter looks through the inmates' profiles, there was to be a shot also showing a profile of Nicky, but it was clipped out for time. Sweet Cheeks also had a line in response to Hunter asking him about the Twins ("I don't know where they are, but-"), but it too was removed for time constraints note . The Warden also had a brief "Why?" line in response to Alice telling him that Hunter had to go, although David Wain didn't get to record the line and another crew member subbed in for it during the recording session. Even though it was removed in the final product, you can still briefly see the Warden mouth "Why?" and look irritated.
    • Sweet Cheeks' final flashback was originally slightly longer, and featured him reaching out to the Twins in his fear, only for them to laugh at him and then teleport away. The finished episode has a brief remnant of this scene (with Sweet Cheeks reaching his arm out), before it fades back to Alice in the present day.
    • The Twins' false flashback to their home world originally started with a bunch of Twins dying all at once in a bloody massacre by Hunter, which was changed to Ozzal disintegrating and dismembering Twins with lasers.
    • At one point, Hunter was considered to arrive in a giant seashell as her vessel, but Karacas didn't like the look of it, causing it to be revised and changed to a meteorite. The seashell version is seen later in the animatic, while the earlier part of the reel features the revised boards showing the meteorite (as well as a brief glimpse at Ozzal and Hunter's redesigns before the boards switch to show their earlier looks).
    • Ozzal was originally much more humanoid, but didn't have any hair, leaving the unibrow (and nose and eye shape) as his only resemblance to the Twins. This was because he was going to visually parody Leigh Bowery, but Karacas later changed his mind and revised the design (giving Ozzal hair but making him even less humanoid, and his eye shape being changed), in part to make the character look less emotive. A notable difference in his behavior is that he looked quite worried and terrified for Hunter in the original storyboards for the ending. This doesn't show in the finished episode.
      • Adult Swim's season 2 "Behind the scenes" video shows a brief glimpse of a design closer to his finalized one (the floating ball with wings), though still bald (it can be seen at 1:38). There was also a brief glimpse of the animatic showing the "curly perm" variant of Hunter (at 1:34).
      • Originally, in that final sequence with Ozzal and the Twins, the brothers were to frown and get annoyed when he suggested they come home. They were then shown to be snickering at their father's worry over Hunter. In the final product, the two are smiling throughout the entire sequence, although one Twin does display an open-mouthed grin while Ozzal worries over Hunter.
    • Ben Li's original version of the guard-slaughtering sequence was rejected and had to be redone, as the style apparently didn't fit the rest of the episode.
    • The Twins' original inmate disguises were rather plain and they didn't wear any fake mustaches (and one didn't shave his scalp). This leads to their disguises not fooling the inmates in the animatic because they barely tried, while in the finished episode it seems they tried TOO hard to blend in. Also: one of the twins was supposed to have a swastika on his red armband, but it was removed, as the Standards and Practices objected to the Nazi imagery.
