• Colbert Bump: The movie was relatively obscure until it was reviewed by Brutalmoose and Chadtronic.
• Troubled Production: Almost. During the filming of Hillbilly, the sequence where Charles accidentally gets a man killed by the titular Hillbillies attracted calls to the police from concerned residents of the area who had not been informed of the filming and thought the gunshots they had heard were real. When police arrived on the scene they discovered the car with "blood" and "brain matter" on the inside of the car and a broken window. Lance Hendrickson, one of the directors and the actor of Dennis, was soon found and questioned as the car in question was his. To alleviate the suspicions, he confirmed that the blood and brain matter was fake and that he was indeed working on an independent film and provided the officers with footage of the in-progress movie to prove it.
