- Real Life Writes the Plot: Adria's surprisingly limited role despite her importance to Season 10 and the entire Ori narrative. Robert C. Cooper's explained Morena Baccarin had very limited availability (only a single day). The choice was to either write her out of the move entirely, or do what they could with the window they had. Cooper opted for the latter.
- On the DVD Commentary, Cooper states that Julian Sands likewise had limited availability and this affected the Doci's role and impact on the narrative. At one point it, it was a tossup as to whether to Doci would even be in the film or not.
- Schedule Slip: The Ark of Truth (and Continuum) was originally intended to be released during the fall of 2007. Due to production delays, it wasn't released until the spring of 2008.
- This delay caused problems for Stargate Atlantis, which added Carter to its main cast in Season 4. They couldn't directly acknowledge the film's events until Season 5, but some spoilers were unavoidable.
